Birchwood Fire Station


Birchwood is staffed by two Watches, Charlie and Delta, with seven personnel on each Watch. The Watches rotate every three days and work from 7.00am - 7.00pm.

Night cover is provided by our on-call/part-time crew. They may have other main jobs as well as being on-call firefighters. Each on-call firefighter carries an alerter whilst available for call-outs during the night and must be capable of reaching the station in a short time.
