Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service, Service Delivery Department, Cheshire East Admin Hub, Crewe Fire Station
37 hours per week
Starting Salary of £24,790 within the Salary Scale 3 range £24,790 - £25,183 per annum based on experience
Midday on Monday 10 March 2025
The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to Fire Stations across the unitary area by establishing systems and processes that aid the activities of operational crews and Fire Prevention and Protection teams in achieving their objectives. Additionally, the post holder will support the Administration Manager.
Responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining the ordering of goods and services for the Admin Hub office, Stations, Station personnel, and the Protection & Prevention Department to ensure efficient service delivery. You will also track outstanding items on the ordering system, ensure the effective recording of order receipts, plan and coordinate meetings, take actions/minutes as required, and maintain accurate and timely records of proceedings, arranging follow-up actions as necessary.
Requirements of the role include:
Educated to at least BTEC Higher, NVQ Level 3 Business Administration or equivalent with a good level of literacy and numeracy
Knowledge and experience of IT systems, data bases, software including networking and spreadsheets e.g. Microsoft Office suite of applications
Ability to work under pressure and work on own initiative
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to plan and prioritise own workload
Ability to build personal relationships and work well as a team
