Starting salary of £33,366 per annum within the salary scale SO1 £33,366 - 35,325 per annum based on experience

If you are you passionate about road safety, skilled in advanced driving techniques and want a career with impact then we are looking for a dedicated Driving Instructor to join our team at Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service.
In this role you will provide high-quality driving instruction to new and existing staff and conduct training sessions on advanced driving techniques and emergency response driving training regulations. You will also assess and evaluate driving skills to ensure compliance with safety standard and develop and update training materials and programs.
As well as Large Goods Vehicle courses the role will also encompass light vehicle driving instruction so you will need to hold an Approved Driving Instruction (ADI) qualification. You may also be required to invigilate the delivery of the LGV and PSV Theory Tests.
Requirements of the role include:
have a clean and current Large Goods Vehicle licence.
have a clean and current Light Vehicle licence.
hold a valid ADI qualification
have Instructional and Assessor experience as a Driving Instructor in light and Large Goods Vehicles
have Instructional or driving experience as an emergency response driver
hold the NFCC Emergency Response Driving Training Course
