Starting salary of £25,584 per annum within the Salary Scale 4 range, £25,584 to £27,269 per annum

We are looking for somebody to join our Finance team as a full time Finance Assistant. In this role you will be part of a small team providing a professional Accounts and Purchasing service to Cheshire Fire and Rescue.

The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Liaise with suppliers to deal with queries, obtaining quotes and raising and reviewing requisitions where necessary

  • Raising all debtor invoices and processing and paying all creditor invoices

  • Act as the first point of contact for the Finance Department

  • Other financial and administrative tasks to contribute to the provision of Financial services for the Authority, as detailed in the Job Description.

To join our team, you’ll have:

  • GCSE Mathematics at grade C or above

  • A minimum of A Level education or equivalent Finance experience

  • Experience of working in a Finance environment, dealing with debtors and creditors

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills

  • Good communication skills

  • High level of ICT literacy, including the use of spreadsheets
