HR Assistant - Supporting the Business Partnership Unit

Starting salary of £15,558 pro rata rate per annum within the salary scale 4, £25,584 to £27,269 (full time equivalent) per annum based on experience

The main purpose of this role is to deliver a comprehensive support service across the People & Development Department.

Duties will cover a wide range of transactional activities including preparation of case materials for HR colleagues, minute taking, assisting with updating corporate materials & polices, coordination of Long Service/Good Conduct medals. You will work in conjunction with the HR Workforce Systems Officer to generate management information and establishment reports as well as answering general queries and provide guidance and support to managers and employees on matters relating to routine HR policies, procedures and terms and conditions of employment.

To join our team, it is essential to meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of Maths and English GCSE or equivalent, at grade C/4 or above.

  • Experience of working within a busy office environment and evidence of providing excellent customer service

  • Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach and strong time management/organisational skills.

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and TEAMS.

  • Experience of monitoring and maintaining systems and records

  • Understanding the importance of dealing with employee related information within a confidential environment.
