It is with great pleasure that we invite you to join us for our first combined Winsford Fire Station and Headquarters Open Day.
Open days are invaluable for our firefighters and staff to connect with the local communities we serve. These events not only provide an engaging and entertaining experience, but they also deliver crucial safety messages to help keep everyone safe and demonstrate our capabilities when responding to emergency incidents.
For the first time this year, we will be opening our headquarters site as part of the Winsford Fire Station Open Day. Our headquarters houses the Service’s training centre, which opened in 2020. This state-of-the-art facility provides our firefighters with an immersive and realistic training environment, ensuring they are as well-trained as possible to keep you safe when you need us.

*The first hour of the station open day will be a designated quiet hour. During the hour, noise levels will be reduced and there will be limited lighting to create a calmer, more comfortable atmosphere tailored for individuals with special educational needs (SEN).
Although everyone is welcome during the quiet hour and throughout the day, the first hour is mainly aimed at children and adults needing additional support.
Our photographer will be taking photographs throughout the event. Please let him know if you would prefer not to have your or family members’ photograph taken.
Photos may be used on social media and in Service publications for legitimate marketing purposes. Please email digital@cheshirefire.gov.uk for more information.

No parking available on site.
If you live locally please consider walking.
If you are driving we would recommend parking at Verdin Exchange, town centre multi-storey, old high street, marina.
The Service is not liable for any off-site parking arrangements or incidents that may occur during the open day.
No food available on site apart from an ice cream stand.
Staff will be present around the site to assist you.
There are designated first aid, quiet room and baby change facilities in our HQ (see the map above).
Please only enter areas designated for the open day. Prohibited areas will be marked accordingly.
Service equipment is for use by staff only and for your safety, should not be tampered with.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
In the event of a fire or fire alarm, please remain calm and follow instructions provided.
