There are around 150,000 people registered as D/deaf in Cheshire, Warrington and Halton.
We work with three deaf organisations across Cheshire, Halton and Warrington. If you wish to receive support please contact them as follows:
DSN was founded in 1976 as the Cheshire Deaf Society, and now provides a wide range of support and services for deaf, deafblind, and people with a Visual Impairment in Cheshire and the surrounding areas.

The Deafness Resource Centre provides services for D/deaf people, their carers and families. They offer information and guidance to other service providers in the area to ensure that their services are fully accessible for D/deaf people.

Warrington Borough Council's sensory and telecare team provides services for people with hearing or sight loss. They provide a comprehensive and confidential service which is tailored to your individual needs and aims to help improve your quality of life.

An innovative 'emergency signs' card was developed in partnership between us and Deafness Support Network. The card includes basic sign language enabling firefighters and the D/deaf community to communicate with each other in the event of an emergency.
