Starting Salary of £45,718 within the Salary Scale PM2, £45,718 - £49,764 per annum based on experience

Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Prevention and Protection Department for a Business Operations Manager. This role is pivotal in ensuring our Service delivers its strategic commitment to keeping people safe from fire and other emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and manage the operations function to deliver Prevention and Protection work.

  • Influence the development of departmental plans and facilitate internal and external audit processes.

  • Responsible for ensuring audits and assessments are conducted against HMICFRS and ISO9001:2015.

  • Oversee the coordination, analysis, and presentation of information at departmental and Service level meetings.

  • Manage a team responsible for Quality Assurance, Policy, SAFFIRE (internal database), Systems, Projects and Partnerships, Training, Volunteer Management, Resources, and administrative functions.

We are looking for people who have:

  • Degree educated or relevant experience in a related subject - Strategic Leadership, Coaching & Mentoring, Continuous improvement, Training & Development, Change Management, Business Management

  • Experience of delivering against departmental objectives

  • Experience of working with internal and external audit processes.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, persuade and influence others.

  • Strong understanding of stakeholder relationships at team, local and national level

  • Strong working knowledge of Information systems and management

  • Budget management experience
